Greenlee Plumbing exceeded my expectations when replacing the polybutylene plumbing in our new home. Greg was quick to respond to me with a quote and he completed the work on time and did a great job.

He was right - we couldn't even tell they had been here - all the drywall, etc. was fixed to perfection! And in the one spot that the ceiling looked a bit off color Greg called me and said he had been thinking about it and it was bothering him and he had to make it look right.  He came back over and had it fixed.  Now how many contractors do that??? None that I've ever worked with.  They strive for quality work and customer satisfaction.  I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone with plumbing needs.  I wouldn't use anyone else."

Greg,

Thanks for the great job replacing our Polybutylene plumbing throughout the entire house. It was done well, as scheduled and within the one day as you promised. The sheetrock repairs were also done well and on schedule. Yours was the best estimate out of three received and completed without additional charges except for the things we added, such as a new hot water heater and installation of new customer furnished fixtures in one bath. These were done well and also for the agreed upon price. The cleanup was also good.

Thank you also for the service call at no charge to replace the defective cutoff next to the water meter which was installed by your company last December.

Neither you nor anyone else could predict that kind of failure of a brand new brass cutoff valve; however you ate the cost of a new one as well as provided the labor free of charge.

Thanks for all your help and a good job.

I would recommend you to anyone who needs your help.

To whom it may concern:

I used Greenlee Plumbing to replace the polybutylene plumbing in a house I recently purchased.  I used other contractors for painting, carpeting, etc.  I threatened to sue the painters for sloppy workmanship, but we had no problems with Greenlee.  They arrived on time, got to work, cleaned up, and left in one day.  One of their competitors said they'd match Greenlee's bid, but when I told them all the services that were included in Greenlee's bid and the price, they just said, "That's a very good price."

The most telling thing I can say is my daughter is buying a house near this one, and if there are any plumbing problems, I'll call Greg and his guys, bypassing the bidding process.

Sincerely,

Roger Whitaker

We initially hired Greg Greenlee to repipe our 2500 sq ft house in Smyrna, GA. Greg and his crew did an amazing job. The whole process—replacing the pipes and then patching and painting up holes—took less than two days. Afterwards, you would never have known that they had to cut holes in the drywall to place the pipes. The patching and painting was perfect. They left the house even cleaner then when they arrived.

We were so pleased with that first job that we hired Greg again on three additional occasions. In total, Greg Greenlee performed the following work for us in 2009:

  • Complete repipe (to replace polybutylene) of a 2500sq ft house in Smyrna, GA
  • Complete repipe (to replace polybutylene) of a 5000sq ft house in Marietta, GA
  • Install new water heater
  • Repair tub drain
  • Replace sink and faucet
  • Replace showerhead
  • Replace “Roman” tub faucet and handles

Whew! That’s a lot. Each time we called Mr. Greenlee, he was very responsive. He worked quickly and neatly and under difficult conditions (including at the same time as a noisy floor installation in one house). He was very accommodating to our schedule, too, even when we asked him to make repairs on a tight timeline. He gave us an option to purchase the water heater ourselves if we thought we could do it for less money.I liked that he didn’t insist on us buying the water heater through him, but we ultimately did because we couldn’t get it for less ourselves.

We have found all of his work to be top notch and an excellent value. We are confident we’ll call upon him in the future and are happy to recommend him to others.

Those of you who know me are aware that I am a contractor's worst nightmare.  I rarely find anything good about the class of builders and contractors that exist in the Atlanta area. Because the work that they do basically sucks, I now buy books and do all of my own repairs and building projects.  Given that, the last thing in the world that I would do is recommend to any of my friends any contractor that has worked for me in the past several years.

In the past couple of months, however, we became victims of the gray polybutylene water pipe failure syndrome that is prevalent in our area.  There are not enough books available to become proficient in repiping a two-story house, so, it was with considerable trepidation that I searched out a repipe specialist in the area.  I talked with three locals listed in the Home Services Review and rejected them all for one reason or another (cost; guarantee; references; timeframe; etc.)

Then I found Greenlee Plumbing out of Braselton online.  They quoted me a price that was less than half of any of the locals and gave me a list of references to call.  When I called the references, I couldn't believe that any company was as good as they claimed Greenlee to be.  I was especially concerned about their finish work because that has always been a problem in the past, but all the references said that the refinishers were true artists.  On the basis of 6 outstanding references we contracted with Greenlee.

The long and the short of it is this: the workers were on time; they worked under a master plumber with a lot of repipe jobs under his belt; they completed all their work in one day; they stuck to their price; my walls and ceilings looked better after they were refinished than they had before the work (they do not do wallpaper--that was on me); and they returned to repair a couple of minor problems within 24 hours.

So, I heartily recommend Greenlee Plumbing to any of you who may require poly pipe replacement.

I really didn't know who to call when my polybutylene line finally blew and flooded my front yard. I found your ad in the Gwinnett Yellow Pages and I was impressed with your comprehensive web site. I was even more impressed with your customer service! Gary and a helper were on site on time and completed the job in a few hours, right down to reconnecting sprinkler lines and replacing sod and pine straw! It's a relief when the plumber gets to work and says, "piece of cake". I was delighted that I was offered options for the type of repair and that the final bill was what was quoted. I also appreciate dealing with courteous and competent professionals. I will not hesitate to recommend Greenlee Plumbing to my friends. Thank you for a job well done!
